The NWA Area Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.'s Book scholarship is available toAfrican American male and female high school students planning to attend a postsecondary institutionFall 2024 and reside in Washington or Benton County, our service area. We are so excited to now offer a scholarship to not only females who have great futures ahead of them, but also to MALES!

Award Amount: $500
The Nola Holt Royster Living Legacy Scholarship is awarded on behalf of Soror Nola Holt Royster who dedicated her life to uplifting, serving, and encouraging students. She served as Director of Career Services at the University of Arkansas. As a tribute to Nola, the Office of Career Services is named after her. It is only fitting that this scholarship is in honor of her legacy. The scholarship is awarded to female, minority high school seniors who plan to attend college. The recipients are selected based on academic achievement, as well as, school and community involvement.

Bethany D. McClendon was a faith-driven, dedicated, young woman with a zeal for life and a passion for justice. She had a deep concern for her community and touched the lives of many. Ms. McClendon used her law degree as a mechanism to serve the community. Therefore, we honor her legacy through this community service scholarship. Your application should describe how obtaining your graduate degree will help you leave a legacy in the African-American community. Applicants must plan to attend graduate or law School at the University of Arkansas in the Fall of 2024, and include proof of acceptance.
